WHAT IS MUSIC THERAPY & WHO CAN BENEFIT?
Music Therapy is an established, evidenced-based, health profession provided by a Board Certified Music Therapist.
Music is used, within a therapeutic relationship, to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals.
Through musical involvement our abilities can be strengthened and transferred to other, non-musical, areas of our life. -AMTA, 2019
ABOUT US
Missions, Methods, and Values
My name is Ana and my husband is Chris. We are the founders and co-operators of The House of Music Therapy. Our passion for music and the brain has led us to a fascinating career in Music Therapy.
I graduated with my Bachelor's of Music in Music Therapy from Sam Houston State University in 2009 and completed my Master's of Music in Music Therapy, with an emphasis in Neurologic Music Therapy, at Colorado State University August 2019. The focus of my studies targeted the underlying neuroscience behind the phenomena that is Music Therapy.
My husband, Chris, runs the business. He has over a decade of experience in running small businesses, and he completed his MBA in 2016.
It is our my mission to provide top quality services so Floridians can reach their highest potential for a more beautiful tomorrow.
